Pedro Barros is an adjunct professor of cybersecurity at Houston City College and a Certified Cybersecurity Analyst with extensive experience in threat intelligence, detection engineering, and incident management. He currently serves as Security Analyst II in the oil and gas industry, where he helps strengthen organizational defenses against evolving cyber threats. An active speaker in the cybersecurity community, Barros regularly shares research and practical insights on detection, intelligence, and security awareness. A graduate of the University of Houston–Clear Lake, he is dedicated to preparing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals with hands-on, real-world skills at Houston City College.
